Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 July 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what information CricBooking (“we”, “us”) collects when you use our website and booking platform, how we use it, and the choices you have. By creating an account or using CricBooking, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: your name, email address and phone number when you sign up, and your role (player or venue owner).
  • Booking information: the venues, pitches, dates and times you book or list, along with pricing and cancellation details.
  • Venue information: if you list a venue, the details you provide about it — location, contact details, pitches, pricing and photos.
  • Reviews:ratings and comments you submit for venues you've booked.

We do not currently process payments directly through CricBooking, so we do not collect or store card details.

3. How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account, and to operate the booking platform — creating, managing and displaying bookings.
  • To let venue owners see who has booked their pitches, and to let players see venue contact details for a booking they've made.
  • To communicate with you about your bookings — for example confirmations, cancellations, and in-app notifications about activity on your account.
  • To display reviews and ratings to other players.
  • To understand how CricBooking is used and improve the platform.
  • To maintain the security of accounts and prevent misuse of the platform.

4. Who can see your information

A venue's owner can see the name of a player who books their pitch, for the purpose of managing that booking. Other players never see your booking history or contact details. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Third-party infrastructure

CricBooking is built on a small number of infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf to run the platform:

  • Supabase — our database, authentication and file storage provider. Your account, profile, booking and venue-image data is stored with Supabase.
  • Vercel — hosts the CricBooking website and handles web traffic to it.
  • OpenStreetMap— powers the maps shown on venue pages and the location search used when listing or finding a venue. Loading a map or searching a location sends that request (and your IP address, as with any web request) to OpenStreetMap's servers.

We don't use these providers' data for advertising, and we don't sell your information to anyone.

6. Data storage and security

Your data is stored with Supabase using row-level security, meaning access to your data is restricted at the database level to you, the relevant venue owner (for bookings on their venue), or a platform administrator — not just enforced by the app's interface. We use reasonable technical measures to protect your information, but no website or online service can guarantee data is 100% secure — we can't promise CricBooking is immune to every possible security risk.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your session. We do not currently use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

8. Your choices

You can update your profile information at any time from your account settings. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us using the details on our Contact page.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as CricBooking evolves. We'll update the date at the top of this page whenever we do.
